The people behind JustProtect.org
JustProtect.org is a Utah-based, tax-exempt nonprofit dedicated to holding accountable alleged perpetrators and organizations who traffic, exploit, and abuse children and vulnerable adults. We support survivor-backed legal cases, survivor advocacy, and public awareness — while encouraging criminal accountability where the law allows.
Executive Director
Ruth Hackford-Peer
Executive Director — Pro Bono Attorney
U of U law grad (Order of the Coif), clerked for a federal judge, worked in private practice, and prosecuted financial crimes at the U.S. Attorney’s Office (D. Utah). Prior career in higher education and nonprofit work, including public policy and victim-support volunteering.

Ron Jenson
Director & President
U of U grad, Finance and Management. Licensed insurance broker since 1978, specializing in risk management. With wife Pam, spent 10+ years supporting young adults transitioning out of difficult circumstances.
Roger Hoole
Director & Secretary — Pro Bono Attorney
Trial attorney (admitted 1987), AV Martindale-Hubbell rating. 20+ years pro bono work representing survivors in abuse cases involving Warren Jeffs/FLDS and other extreme sects. Helped found JustProtect.org.
Pam Jenson
Director & Treasurer
Degrees in Family Studies and Education from U of U. 25 years as a Work and Career Educator in Granite School District. 10+ years as a Host Home provider for young people.
Scott Howell
Director
Former Utah State Senator (2001-2012), vice chair of the Health and Human Services committee. BYU and U of U graduate. Career in healthcare administration.
Ronald Barton
Director
Former law enforcement and criminal investigations. Spent years investigating cases involving organized exploitation. Now supports JPA’s litigation support and case coordination.
Our Story
Justice Protection Alliance is dedicated to safeguarding children from abuse and exploitation. Our programs focus on legal accountability, survivor advocacy, and raising awareness about trafficking under the guise of religious practices. We support criminal prosecutions and work to create safer environments where children and vulnerable adults are protected from harm.
